The Highlands Brass Academy is back in Minden, Ontario for its second
year - this time with an Advanced brass workshop running from Saturday
August 7th to Saturday the 14th. Study with top-notch professional
Canadian brass orchestral musicians. Play challenging and interesting
repertoire with other dedicated brass students and enthousiasts.
The intensive 8-day workshop includes large and small ensemble
rehearsals, sectional instruction, nightly recitals and masterclasses,
and optional private lessons, all leading up to a public student
performance at the end of the program.
This year's faculty includes:
- Trumpet
Larry Larson (Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony)
Steven van Gulik (National Arts Centre Orchestra)
Michael Fedyshyn (Hamilton Philharmonic)
- Horn
Christopher Gongos (Toronto Symphony)
- Trombone
Steven Dyer (Winnipeg Symphony)
- Tuba
Chris Lee (Winnipeg Symphony)
