Malcolm Smith was principal trumpet at the Royal Opera house until 2001 when he sadly passed away. This concert is a tribute to his life. Organised by his daughter Katie Smith and condcuted by one of his sons Robin Smith, as well as close friends and colleagues Peter Harvey and Eric Crees.

An acoustic group performing Gypsy Jazz in the style of legendary gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt and violinist Stephane Grappelli. They play swing standards from the 1930's and 40's as well as contemporary gypsy bossas, ballads, valses and tangos.
