| I just picked up a Bach Mercury New York that has the same bell as a New York strad. 67 bell. Waht level horn is this and what is it worth#88xx serial. Thx |

The Mercury line was a slightly lower line of instruments than the Stradivarius.
The "67" on the bell is not the model of the bell, but the postal code for the location of the Bach shop in New York. It was stamped on all Bach bells for some time.

Most of the Mercury models have a small bore .448 with a 31 bell and 6 leadpipe. The more valuable ones have a Bach valve sections that look similar to the Stradivarius valve sections. _________________ NY and Mt. Vernon Bach trumpets. Monette and Hammond mouthpieces. Fender and Peavey Cirrus Bass Guitars. Ampeg amps. |
