Hi Andy your trumpet looks like a Thein 4 valve "C" Mathias Hofs special. This a great horn with a great sound.

I posted this recently, but for those that haven't seen it... Here's my Adams A4 Shepherd's Crook. I pinch myself everyday that I get to play this!

@cyber_shake: Thanks! The lines remind me of a roadster/hot rod and I've never seen another finish quite like it! Truly a work of art!

You obviously got this horn for dirt cheap b/c it has an extra valve...kind of like a factory second...

Good to hear that you're still loving that horn! I remember when you won that, like it was yesterday .... I think I saved a photo from the auction somewhere 'cause the horn was so interesting looking.

My babies. I play the ones standing on their own, and the ones hanging, are responsible for a couple that are on the counter. The Damar flugel horn now has a copper bell.

I should point out a couple of things, and give credit where credit is due:
Firstly... there are two Schagerl Gansch Horns in this picture and four horns I made. Three of them highly influenced by Schagerl and Zirnbauer... one influenced by all of the stuff on the wall.

I have always made things, and experimented, and basically tried to improve on, or do my own varitation... but the Schagerl horns really inspired me. And while the may resemble each other.... they are still mine, from my own bending to my own decisions on leadpipes etc...

I don't make the "Gansch" style trumpet for anyone. The flugelhorn on the other hand... well, I made what I wanted, and it didn't look anything like the prototype I saw when I was there. I have since seen a picture of the new "Killer Queen" and am dieing to get my hands on it to see how it plays. Because it looks a lot like my three valve version (not pictured). And my horn sounds great. I love the Schagerl Trumpets, and I will always play one.

Oh PakWaan.... You know he can get them with very little effort. Worth every penny. I have to honestly say that when I saw a pic of the horn, I knew it was going to be the horn for me. If you're having a gut reaction to it, you need to experience it for yourself! Give Trent a call.

+1 to PZ's collection. That's an impressive display. While I'm sure the Harrelson Gravity will be the first thing most notice, I'm really diggin' the look of the Oldroyd Cardinal matte gold finish. I would love to try that one out!
