Who was Harry Pedler? My trumpet has a serial number 60xxx. What was the date of manufacture? Was it a student model?

Thank you all !

I have only heard the name, and not seen or played one. I did find a link, via Google, that may give you some information:

According to this source, Harry Pedler worked for Conn at one time, but later owned, and sold his own company, later working for the Buescher factory, all in Elkhart, Indiana.

An independent company who stenciled this model to many other shops. I have had a trumpet called "Custom Craft of California" that was a Pedler American Triumph under cover.

Yes, a student trumpet. That CCoC actually is one of the two worst trumpets I have ever had. The amount of solder blobs inside was terrifying. Now, it sure could be a decent trumpet if it had been made by a more skilled craftsman, so there must be better American Triumphes around.

HUC entries on Pedler are pretty interesting. American Triumph's turn up often on ebay and shopgoodwill.
