Who was Harry Pedler? My trumpet has a serial number 60xxx. What was the date of manufacture? Was it a student model?
Thank you all ! |

I have only heard the name, and not seen or played one. I did find a link, via Google, that may give you some information:

According to this source, Harry Pedler worked for Conn at one time, but later owned, and sold his own company, later working for the Buescher factory, all in Elkhart, Indiana. |

An independent company who stenciled this model to many other shops. I have had a trumpet called "Custom Craft of California" that was a Pedler American Triumph under cover.
Yes, a student trumpet. That CCoC actually is one of the two worst trumpets I have ever had. The amount of solder blobs inside was terrifying. Now, it sure could be a decent trumpet if it had been made by a more skilled craftsman, so there must be better American Triumphes around. _________________ Meazzi Oro |
