Just won an auction for a Martin Deluxe trumpet, made after Wurlitzer bought martin, and before LeBlanc. Any info would be appreciated. The price would be $300
*edit* The bore is .453

Martin was sold to the Richards musical instr. company in the early 60's hence the RMC Martins. Then Richards only had it a couple years and sold it to Wurlitzer. There is alot of confusion over how much of the tooling was passed on through the sales but suffice it to say The rmc had the original bells and pipes but the Wurlitzers didnt. They i believe had a newly constructed bell and pipe that actually was used as a forerunner for the Leblanc's. Some of the bells and whistles were still used on the Wurlitzers but they weren't much like the original Committee's. Do a search We had a grand discussion on the forum where an old factory worker gave us the info.

Thanks for the replies. I went ahead and bought the horn for $320, and it should come in this week. The Nickel playing and lacquer trimmings seem to be 100% in the photos. From what I've read, these horns were competition to the 1960's Connstelations and Galaxies. I will let you guys know more once i get it!
