| I currently play on a 67M and am looking into getting a new mouthpiece. I want one similar to it because I have a really great tone on it but I would like something that is a little easier to blow through. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas. |

Can you ellaborate on what you are experiencing? "Easier to blow through" can mean a lot of different things.
Thank you! _________________ Matt Anklan

I am a GR dealer and I strongly suggest you follow Jerry's advice. Unless one is trained as a consultant or as many of we dealers are - familiar with the GR playing tests - no one here can possibly make any suggestions as to what will work for you.
Take the questionnaire.

"Easier to blow through". I will have to ask a few more questions to see exactly what you mean. I would also need to know any other playing issues or "symptoms" that you may be experiencing. Knowing your horn and gap would help as well.
If you are willing, and if folks watching this thread are willing, maybe we could go through the GR Questionnaire here for all to see so they can get an idea of the info we are after. I could also explain my answers and suggestions on what to try next.
What do you think?
Keep in mind that the questionnaire and consultation process works for all wind instruments (yes, saxes included) and all manufacturers. You just have to know the line you are dealing with and of course you really have to know what to listen for and how to solve the issue. With the questionnaire specifically, I can make suggestions on what to try as nailing down a definitive answer is unlikely without seeing you in person.
