This is a frankenhorn I had done by Tom Green. I've a flugel I'm sending him to match the finish he did on the trumpet. |

They said it would be better to just keepy silver plate.

Ah, that makes sense. I don't think any of us realized you had a silver-plated horn; stripping one and lacquering it is certainly possible, but not really worthwhile.
You can lacquer over silver (if you hate polishing) but there's no real point to that either.
