|
|
Hello,
Does anyone have a transcription of any of the solos (trumpet, alto or tenor) from the Doc Severinsen version of In the Mood?
I know I can do them myself, but I'm fairly slow, and in this case, I'm not even the one playing the solos.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks! _________________ Nate Banzhof

at some point I did the first 16 bars or so. the thing is, that recording has more than one soloist. They are trading bars, so it's not all Doc. _________________ ~Zack

You don't still happen to have those 16 bars do you? I'm really not looking forward to this and anything would be a great help.
I may divide up the trumpet solo, the way it is on the recording, but it is all a matter of time.
Any idea who is taking the other trumpet solo parts? I'm not really sure who was in the section when they made the recording. _________________ Nate Banzhof

The soloists are all listed on the CD. Conte and Snooky, as I recall. |

Look on page two inside the booklet; every soloist is identified by track number. Not that anyone should need it. Doesn't every trumpet player out there know who was in that section? Aren't Snooky and Conte immediately recognizable?
It's Doc, Conte, Snooky, Doc. |

Awesome, thanks for doing this. Our trumpet section is working this right now...
Did you happen to also transcribe the last section also? _________________ ------

This is an old thread, and apparently so is the above link. I'm wondering if anyone saved a copy of this off back then and could share it again? _________________ "Music is like candy, you throw the (w)rappers away." |
