Just got home from Mahler 5 at the BSO tonight. What a show! Tom Rolfs was superb. Charles Dutoit actually walked back to him after the concert, grabbed him by the hand and brought him to the front of the stage for a bow!

The show should be broadcast tomorrow night on WGBH.

That was a great concert tonight - and both my friend and I got a kick out of the way Charles Dutoit walked out the soloists

Went to the Utah Symphony last night with a date and they played the same thing. It was a great performance (or maybe just a great date ). Travis Peterson is....probably a better player than all the other guys in this orchestra. He is seriously good.

I should mention he was a student of Rolfs.

Here is the one year archive..............

As is mentioned elsewhere on this forum, Tom Rolfs gets to come to the front of the stage for a bow after Mahler 5.
