Hey everybody,
I just finished this project with the legendary Lonnie Liston-Smith and my chordless trio where we did a live, unrehearsed studio session. We played 3 popular jazz standards and I had a good friend and wonderful videographer shoot the whole thing. So now I am releasing the whole thing as a YouTube mini-series--each new video will be released in succession after the previous one reaches a certain number of views. Once this one hits 1,000 then you will find out what the next tune is!
Enjoy, y'all:

Victor still killin' it on cornet! So glad to see you doing well. Are you coming to ITG this year? If so, please stop by the Eclipse room; I would love to catch up. Looking forward to more installments of your mini-series. I hope you still remember me when you become famous _________________ Authorized Dealer of Eclipse Trumpets

This young man sounds like an old soul. I love his phrasing and ideas. Old school jazz playing without the showy pyrotechnics. Very cool style and the warmth and ideas are far beyond his 20-something age bracket. I would love to hear him on a Monette or Committee. |

I do love his playing and the maturity of his playing. I checked some of his other videos and they are excellent as well. His album/CD is called The Truth and I look forward to getting a copy of that soon, based on seeing his videos. |

Hey Don! Thanks for checking it out, and I will definitely be at ITG this year (with Sonare and Denis Wick) so we will hang without a doubt. _________________ --

Yeah nice rhythm section too. Listening to the vid from the other thread now, perfect for the rainy day we have here and needing to practice but take it easy on the chops. My pre 1905 cornet is ready to pick up from Charlie Melk ... |

Hey Victor,
That's a great sound you get from the cornet (although I think that comes from you not the equipment!).
Look forward to hearing more. _________________ Eclipse Enigma

Thanks, y'all, and yes the rhythm section is definitely doing the job! _________________ --
