One of my favorites is the Steinberg/BSO disc with the Hindemith "Konzertmusik" and the "Mathis der Maler" symphony.

There is a Mahler 6 recording of Boston with Ozawa. When was it made and who is playing principal, does anybody know?

Not positive of a date, but almost positive Charles Schlueter is playing principal on that recording.

There used to be a youtube video of Charlie with Ozawa and Boston playing the Bartok Concerto. loudest most powerful thing i have ever heard.

Another favorite is the Kubelik recording of Ma Vlasst on DG from 1971. Beautiful brass playing!!

No one touches Charlie's sound--especially when playing loud! He keeps his sound dark even when playing very loud.
