Greg Gisbert - The court jester

This album is great. Gregs solo on the first track Robyn Song is outrageous. Wow!!

I've never listened to the keyboard player in Maynard's band so much as in this performance. Who was it? Ron Pedley.

Last thing that I had on my turntable was: Hank Jones "Groovin High". Thad is on trumpet. I also highly recommend The Mack Avenue Super Band 2013. My man Sean Jones is KILLING!!! Also check out his new cd: "Improvise" and Eric Reed's cd that just came out recorded live at Smoke is amazing!!!!!!

Lately I've been collecting used cd's from Amazon:
The Kirov Orchestra and V.Gergiev (the younger and more optimistic) made some amazing recordings of Russian Ballet music and orchestral standards between the early and late 1990's. What an ensemble!!!

I sent an email to Denis Diblasio. He confirmed that Ron Pedley is the piano player.

I'm listening to Charles Mingus' "Haitian Fight Song," arranged by Sy Johnson...It was performed by the University of Rochester Jazz Ensemble. I love Mingus! Great band...
