|
|
I bought a mouthpiece during a trip to NYC back in 2009 before I started college. After doing some research on Jerome Callet's site, I think it may have been Mac Gollehon that I bought it from. Its a Superchops model HA-D. I believe he said the HA stands for Herb Alpert. After playing it for a semester or so I switched to a 3C that worked better for me. I'm looking to sell it now. I don't know any of the specs, and don't have the correct equipment for measuring. Does anybody have any information on this model? I saw on super-chops.com that other models sell for $125. I was thinking $80-100 would be a fair asking price. Let me know what you think. Here are a few pictures of it
Thanks! |

Herb bought one or 2 Simas from Jerry back in 09 or 2010 i think. Odds are this is just a piece Jerry made for Herb.
Mac was selling his stuff and other stuff at a music shop on 46th st. He or John probably sold it to you.
I'm sure with the right info and spin you should be able to get what you want on ebay

I understand H.A. played a 7B or 8B type of mouthpiece. Deep, in other words, and not typical of Callets mouthpieces or concept. What are the specs on this piece? _________________ Sima, Kanstul 1525 Flugel and Kanstul pocket trumpet. Olds Super |

Yes, the H.A. is a size that Jerry made specially for Herb Alpert. And he did make a few extras. It's what Herb was playing when Jerry and I met with him a couple years ago in Philadelphia. To my knowledge, it's the piece he still plays with his SIMAs. - Kyle
Sorry, I don't know any of the specs. But give a call to Jerry; he'll remember. |

I have not sold it yet. I actually started playing on it a little more, but I've again decided its not for me. I'll put in on the marketplace soon. |
