Like another poster mentioned, if you bottom out on a shallow Schilke 'A' cup style of mouthpiece, you probably won't have success with an MF design either. Several years ago I took a couple of months to learn to play an MF design piece.. It made me a more efficient player and I'm very glad I did it. Nowadays I play a mouthpiece design similar to MF's design from the 50's.. It's just a smaller diameter and slightly more bite to the rim.. and not a complete 'V' cup.. I can switch back to the MF piece just fine.. but these particular couple of pieces I use give me the most power of all I have.
