|
|
Hi there!
I am looking for a methodbook in the solfege system. I have heard Pierre Thibaud for example sing some Arban stuff in solfege and it is so impressive! I know that this is very common in France but here in Sweden we dont work with it much or not at all actually.
I am looking for a book that starts from the beginning and goes on in a progressive manner.
Can you help me with this? |

My college ear training courses used:
Solfège des Solfèges by Danhauser

Complete Method for Rhythmical Articultion by Bona

Honestly, you can start with something simple, such as the beginning of Arban, and go from there. Decide if you want moveable Do (where Do is the tonic of whatever key you are in) or fixed do (where Do is always C) or maybe even a scale degree number system. _________________ --Matt--

These exercises work well for mouthpiece playing and wind patterns. |

I've found this series of videos very helpful. They're based on the approach taught at the New England Conservatory using the Dannhauser and Dandelot boos.

You can use a method book if you want, or you can just take any "easy" book with melodies and sing them out from there. That is what I do, but not saying it is the best or only way |

Thank you friends for your fine replies! I think my poor english made that i wasn´t so clear in my question hehe. It is not stuff for eartraining in general i am am interested in. We did ( snd still do ) when we were students. For example we did Modus Vetus and Modus Novus and a lot of other stuff.
It is the Solfege system specific i want to improve and thanks to you i now know how to start. |
