Hi all,
I would really appreciate if someone could send me the 3rd trumpet part to the 1947 version of Petrushka.
aspeyr1@gmail.com
imslp has the 1911 version.
Thanks in advance! |

The 1947 publication is under copyright worldwide.
Copies of the complete part are illegal. Ask the Orchestra Librarian to order from the publisher Boosey & Hawkes.
If this is for an audition the orchestra should send the excerpt of the measures to be used in the audition. |

I find it interesting that a list member would advise "aspeyr1" to ignore and violate the U.S. copyright on Petrushka 1947.
Source: 60 years as an orchestra librarian and study of music copyright.
Also per IMSLP: All original works (compositions and arrangements) of Stravinsky are still under copyright in Canada, the EU, Japan and elsewhere and are thus subject to immediate deletion on IMSLP. His work are PD only in the U.S. if published before 1923. |
