Has anyone played on both of these mouthpieces and could talk about the differences and similiarities between the two?
Thanks |

The Faddis is a smaller diameter - think Schilke 13. The findley diameter is quite big. Also the Faddis has a tighter backbore and will blow somewhat tighter with a quite directional sound. Best. Thanks for the quick responses!
I currently play on a Yamaha 14a4a and I'm looking for a piece that has a slightly more open blow, and has bigger slots.
Between these two pieces, which would offer that the most? |

Neither. Plus u r changing diameters a fair bit. If you want a little bigger try a Warburton 3ESv (or 3sv if u want to go a little deeper) with a 6 backbore. If u want to go a little smaller diameter, try a Warburton 4esv (or 4sv) w a 6 backbore. Best. Lex _________________ Mpcs: Jim New-Manley Jazz1/Jazz2/Jazz4/Lead3. Legends MF1. Reeves 39EX/HV. D'OH! But just remember the Schilke 14a4 diameter is a little bigger than the yamaha. If that's ok, go for it - post in the marketplace ur looking for a used one and it will be pretty cheap. Still, if u want to go a little smaller, I say the 4esv/6 combo. Best. Lex _________________ Mpcs: Jim New-Manley Jazz1/Jazz2/Jazz4/Lead3. Legends MF1. Reeves 39EX/HV. Frost 39MVD. Good suggestion. I found the 13a4 was much more manageable than the 13a4a |
