Anyone know anything about them? I just bought one. I don't usually just jump in but it felt right. _________________ 1995 Holton T101G

If yours has the little medallion hickey on the brace, it might have been made by Leblanc/Courtois.
I have never actually seen or played one, so this is just speculation on my part. _________________ Felton (Butch) Bohannon |

There is a picture of the F400 on Horn-U-Copia, without further information.
The instrument however looks identical to the F100 in a 1980's (?) Holton catalog in my posession which, apart from the usual claims of superior sound, intonation, etc., says that it is .421 in (10.69 mm) bore and that the bell is "hand-pegged" bronze.
I have seen one played, years ago, in the Dutch Royal Marine Band which would suggest it is a professional grade horn.
Hope this helps. |
