Another vote against the current production Spyder stands. Complete garbage, don't waste your money.

I have a pair of early-seventies Hamilton stands- one trumpet and one trombone that I adapted for flugelhorn. I cut protective rings of felt to slip over the rubber bases like Dale. Good and sturdy, horns at nice height for stand up gigs.
Trouble is, they are really bulky. I use a Walt Johnson trumpet/flugel case, and I have found that the Hercules travel-light folding stands work really well and can be fitted into the bell safely while the horns are in the case.
All I did to convert the trumpet stand into a flugelhorn stand was to slip a rubber crutch tip over the yellow rubber ball on the stand. I think it was a 3/4" crutch tip. I got it at home depot.

My old Hamilton stand from early 1970's Air Force days had deteriorated soft parts. I called Hamilton to order replacements and they said "warranted for life" and shipped everything at no cost. Got new leg tips as well as the cushion and end piece for the bell.
Wow, great info, thanks!
I never leave horns on stands unattended however.
Last sentence, ABSOLUTELY.

For the Flugel:

You'd need to get a separate base for the above Flugel peg, but I'm sure a K and M dealer could order it for you.
