Hi,

I am visiting US and will be in New York for a 3 whole days next week.
Are there reccomended trumpet pro players out there I should be having lesson with?

I've already set up a lesson with Jerome Callete. I also called Phill Smith but he's in Georgia whole season as a prof. at University.

P.S I'm going to NY Philharmonics at 16/02. They will be playing Mahler's 6 Symphony. Gonna be awesone

Cheers,

Alex

Just sent you a PM.

For one thing, you should stop by Josh Landress's shop at:
153 W. 36th St.
NYC

3rd floor

It's a great place to meet other trumpet players, and his collection of famous and historic instruments is a must-see.

Vince Penzarella would be an obvious good choice.

If I were going to NY I'd try to get a lesson with Pete Bond.

A big +1 for Peter Bond and Vince Penzarella.
I would also seek out Ray Mase if he were available as well as Ethan Bensdorf and Dave Krauss.

But...why are you going to see the first person you mentioned??

Mark Gould. If you can handle it, he's a guru.

Hi,

To answer your initial question, no, there aren't any folks worth taking a lesson from in NYC.

With sorrow,

Mr. FitzPatrick

There are a large number of fine teachers in New York. If you are a fine student you will find them. And find out how to spell Jerry's name.
Jerome Callet

Dave. Lighten up.
