Hello,
I am looking to find some well written duets for trumpet and trombone. Difficulty isn't a problem, and I thought I would check here for some recommendations.
Thanks,

15 dialogues for trombone and trumpet by David Borden
I believe there are some videos of a few of the movements on YouTube and Vimeo. _________________ In his retirement he had become that most dreaded of former athletes, the one who always remembered how much harder it was in his day "when ships were made of wood and men were made of steel."

14 Duets for Trumpet (there is a matching trombone book), compiled by Michael Sachs and Joe Alessi. Nice book. Published by Carl Fischer.

+1 - these are the best duets I found, with very good arrangements of classics. You can also play them on two trombones or two trumpets. |

Check out... 49 Long-lost Arban Duets (...that Arban never wrote!).
Based on the most assigned, practiced, and reviewed tonguing studies in the Arban book that didnt have duets for them. Lots of fun.
Avaliable for trumpet or trombone, and can be played as tpt/trb duets.

No one mentioned Amsden's Celebrated Duets. Available in treble and bass clef. |

I wrote a piece called FANDANGO for Phil Smith and Joe Alesi. For wind ensemble and trumpet & trombone. There is also a piano reduction. Recorded by Joe and Phil on the Summit label with the University of NM Wind Ensemble.
Was also performed on Live from Lincoln Center on PBS with the NY Philharmonic conducted by Kurt Masur. The orchestra winds played only.
