Had a great Brass Chat with Louis Hanzlik recently! For those who may not know he is a member of the American Brass Quintet, and faculty member at The Juilliard School and The University of Connecticut.

The full video hits the airwaves on the 1st. However......

We put together a little teaser with him and one of his best students, Owen Bologna:

https://youtu.be/ZRtjcQ_T-nQ

And for the contest:

We asked Louis which was his favorite brass quintet album of all time. What was his response? First correct answer gets a free bottle of their favorite juice! One response per person per day please. If you're a current student and happen to KNOW the answer, just send me a PM with the answer and we'll get you a bottle too - just to keep things lively around here.

Good luck!

Good guess! That's my personal favorite. I'll never forget the first time I heard it.

Incorrect unfortunately.

"New American Brass" by ABQ? Well, it's my favorite, either way

Love these guesses! Not correct though.

I should say that, as usual, this isn't a trick question. Not an obscure title.

Does the United States Coast Guard Band have an associated brass quintet...who has ever recorded an album?

Me too! I'm just gonna keep picking my favorites and hope I have one in common with Dr. Hanzlik.

Greatest Hits - Canadian Brass

That version of Tocatta and Fugue made my jaw drop the first time I heard it. If this isn't the album, I'm stumped.
