I recently got hold of a Callet-Bukur 10-S mouthpiece. I thought it would be quite similar to the V.F. 10-S/4 that I've got but I was surprised to find that it's more like an SC-3 with and older Callet-style rim.

The sound of that thing is fat, and I actually find it a little more resistant that the SC-3. I took it along to a lesson I was teaching that evening and shocked myself with the sound it made just demonstrating some orchestral rep.

I love piecing together the history of Jerry's work and am just curious if anyone could put an approximate date on this design.

To my memory:

Early to mid 1990's - Jerry cloned Bukkur's double cup to his own very comfortable rim along with his well tested backbore and throat design

Mid to later '90's - Jerry cloned Bukkur style double cup to Vlad F/Giardinelli rim and Jerry's backbore and throat

Roughly 2005-2008 - Jerry cloned Calicchio double cup to modified Calicchio rim with Jerry's proven backbore and throat designs (SC line)
