Daily Coachings
The heart of the seminar. Four hours of faculty coachings each day, scheduled on a rotating basis so that each quintet works with every faculty member directly at least once per week.
Weekly Plug-Ins
Faculty members sit in to play with participant ensembles to demonstrate concepts discussed in coachings. These sessions are open to observation by other participants.
Public Performances
Participant ensembles give weekly public performances, plus recitals by the Atlantic Brass Quintet, Triton Brass, and The Tritantic Brass Ensemble (large full-faculty ensemble, including student guests).
Masterclasses
Resident faculty and special outside guest lecturers offer numerous masterclasses throughout the seminar on a variety of topics.
Weekly Instrument Classes
A time to hang out with and learn from those who play your instrument.
Social activities
Tufts is located in the heart of Sommerville's ultra-hip Davis Square, and downtown Boston is just a few T stops away. Faculty also organize frequent social events on campus.
Campus living
Housing fee includes full access to campus libraries, gyms, and athletic facilities.
