The Adventures Of... is a unique new work for unaccompanied trumpet. Commissioned by Jason Bergman (UNT) this piece was conceived as a mini super hero soundtrack. The unique thing about this piece is that it can be modified in a couple of ways: In addition to easier alternatives for some of the tricker licks, the length of this piece can be modified by seamlessly jumping from any one of TEN rehearsal letters to ANY OTHER rehearsal letter, thus adding a bit of a choose-your-own-adventure element to the work.

So whether you need a hot 15 seconds for an intro or a demo, a more substantial 3 1/2 minutes for a performance, or anything in between, this piece has you covered.

Check out a recording of Jason performing this piece in it's entirety here:

(from his new album The Lightening Fields)

Thanks!
Kevin

The possibilities of audience interaction are pretty intriguing. A piece that's never performed the same way twice?

I actually had never thought of audience interaction - more putting the performer in the driver seat. And you could certainly perform it the same way twice. You could opt to not make any jumps and just play the piece straight through, as Jason does in his recording.

Ordered the piece immediately after listening, received it incredibly fast (Thanks Kevin!) and LOVE it!

I'll be putting it on a recital in March.
