The allowance for housing in DC for an E6 is 2586 a month, with dependents, not including base pay and food allowance. Not bad, figuring most marines take about 6-10 years to get to E6. |

Yeah.. Rent anywhere near DC has got to be AT LEAST $2k for a decent two-bedroom. I'm not saying it's not enough to live off of, but it's not enough for someone at the top of their field, with all that training and work.... not to mention that this band is the world's torchbearer for the band tradition. _________________ Andrew Harms, DMA
