Hey Guys,
Creator here......so please ignore the following.
I was in the hospital for ten days....and it was very serious.
I've been home now two weeks and trying to get my strength back.
I still have to schedule an outpatient gallbladder surgery...ugh.
My trumpet playing chops are about 40% but my piano and vocal chops are about 80%.
Okay, so I just wanted to share that with all you wonderful and loyal fans of ITP .
Thanks for all of your ignoring over so many years. Thirteen years ago ITP was first ignored. _________________ MARK /aka "musicmork"/ aka " The Creator "

Hi Harry,
This must be your first post on ITP. When we use terms like ignore this or ignore that ....it's just a joke.
I started ITP by accident 13 years go. I posted some question in the horns section and because I was a newbie to the TH, I didn't know how to delete it. So my next post simply said "Ignore this post". Well the comical replies started coming in and the thread was so mega viral that the original thread was so long that it actually shut down the TH until the techs could deal with it. After a while the original ITP became a cult...and was moved from the horn section to the lounge. Part one was deleted and then the moderators asked me if I wanted to continue. I did and ITP part two was added. Then THAT was just as long as part one...so the TH moderators told me they ẃould save part two after it reached it's page limit.
Then they asked me to start part three...and here we are....13 years later.
ITP as slowed down a lot and evolved a lot over the years.
So that's pretty much the history of ITP........now you may continue to ignore...lol.
Oh, check this out too......

Wow, very sorry to hear that! Get well soon!
My chops have been toast the past couple of years due to insane job hours and various issues. 40% of where I was five years ago, maybe on a good day... _________________ "After silence, that which best expresses the inexpressible, is music" - Aldous Huxley |

Howdy, folks. Long time poster on the TH, but first time ignoring this post.
Wishing you and yours all the best. This evening, I enjoyed a number of cocktails at happy hour, a healthy and delicious dinner alongside an immodest amount of wine, and now have the feet up in my humble apartment. Life could be worse.
Sipping a Fernet Branca as a nightcap. And currently pondering the mysteries of chromatically descending ii-Vs (a la Lover).
(Don't worry, I even found time for practicing the horn today.)
Cheers, all. _________________ Yamaha 8310Z trumpet

Hi Turkle, Welcome to ITP. We're kind of a cult...like Scientology.... only with more credibility....lol. No disrespect to any Scientologists out there.
You may now begin to ignore.

Hope you are doing better, Creator!
I'm trying to ignore all the bad things in my life lately (deaths, hospitals, etc.) and trying to ignore just how negative a place TH seems to have become lately, people attacking everybody and everything. _________________ "After silence, that which best expresses the inexpressible, is music" - Aldous Huxley |

Thanks for wishing me well. I noticed recently that there are a lot of people just looking for an argument or a fight. Arguing? Fighting? Isn't that what Twitter and Youtube comment posting is for...lol.

Having been away from TH for a long while, I was nostalgically navigating around the TH for posts such as "Air Speed" when, low and behold, I stumbled on ITP!

Thanks Mike.
ITP would never have lasted all these years if it weren't for you and the others like you. Thanks again for your loyaly and ignoring virtuosity.

The question to be ignored is: "Was it ever?"
Present thread excluded, of course.

Thanks for chiming in Don and asking about my health. Much appreciated. I am still going to need my gallbladder to be removed by surgery. Since leaving the hospital 3 months ago I have totally changed my diet to a very low fat and healthy one. I'm also going to need some major dental work. Otherwise, I'm doing okay and currently not gigging until I get healthy. My musical chops on keyboards and vocals are fine now, but my trumpet and cornet chops are awful. I am working on it and I recently changed mouthpieces.
That's an update. I'm amazed that ITP is still going after 13 years...but like all old things...it slowed down a lot. Hope all is well with you. _________________ MARK /aka "musicmork"/ aka " The Creator "

Ok, have been away for some years. Thought I might pass by and see whether you still ognore properly.
Had some cheese fondue at Montreux three days ago. And lots of beer in the tour bus. _________________
