Hi,
Help - advice needed.
First question:
Does anybody know where I can get a replacement mouthpipe (=receiver + 'leadpipe') for a Bach Strad 181ML Cornet? I can't find any online resources or suppliers. I read somewhere that one can use a Bach Strad mouthpipe assembly (receiver and leadpipe), bended to the correct curve, but I am not sure this will work. Please advice.
Second question:
Is it correct that the valve block (valves) of a Bach Strad ML cornet (181) are similar to the valve block of a Bach Strad ML trumpet? I am triggered by the conversion project done by David Miller as displayed on his web page:
www.electrotheremin.com/DS001.html
Thanks,
Kurt

Hi Kurt,

Go to mouthpieceexpress.com and go to the Bach Cornet parts section. THey have leadpipes and receivers there.

Highly recommended seller, I bought two things last week and were delivered brilliantly.

Kurt;
You can order one from a Conn-Selmer dealer.
The part number is 31653R for an unfinished pipe and 31653RS for silver.
This is a 106 Cornet pipe with the mouthpiece receiver and the waterkey.

Thank you TheBrassBandMajor for your response.
I know the website and explored it. Although I can find a Back cornet section it only displays cornet bells for the 184 model, no other parts, lead pipes, ... Did I miss something?
Thanks,
Kurt

Thank you KH!
I live in Belgium, Europe so we don't have specific Conn-Selmer dealers.
Bach is imported by GEWA ltd and it is difficult to get parts from them as I heard. Can you refer me to a Conn-Selmer dealer?
Thanks.
