While looking at old listings of ebay through an archive of eye candies and dreams, I found an active listing of a 1929 Bach Stradivarius key of C Trumpet!

Rare configuration!

It's a very interesting C trumpet, not least of which is the tuning 1st slide.
In the old days, 3rd slides were not tuning, although it appears that this trumpet could have had a third slide ring to throw it. Calicchio trumpets from the 1930's had the same tuneable first slide arrangement. A blast from the past.
