I've been really enjoying the bob minzter books of late, the tunes are well written and they are different from the typical, allthough i love them as well, abersold and Hal leonard music minus one stuff. I would suggest you guys check them out.

Cool sound, what cup are you using? And great intonation and recording as well.

Hey Benge,

using an ancient humes and berg stonelined from my college days in the early '80's. it's my favorite cup mute by far !

Sounds great. I've owned tons of cups, and I still go back to my old stonelined as well. Whatever you used, it recorded well.

Haven't listened to Mintzer stuff in a long time. A big band I played in used to open with Computer every gig...forever and ever. I got kinda burnt on it but I forgot there was so much beautiful stuff beyond the rockish 70s style tunes.

i use a simple pre-amp interface for the computer, piece of crap really, a shure beta 98H/C clip on and Audacity. Its an easy way to record without alot of fuss. Load the mp3 and click record.
