Congrats to Colburn alum Joe Brown for winning 2nd trumpet with the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra today. Way to go, Joe! Congrats also to Michael Harper for making the finals. Nice job, Michael.

Congrats Joe! Well deserved! Its been a pleasure to work along side you all of these years at Colburn/New World. Thanks for the motivation, friendship, many many mock auditions we played for each other, and for all of the great concerts we played too! Cant wait to come up and hear you and Adam asap!

Mark Grisez was also in finals. Lots NWS trumpet successes on the west coast.

Really happy for you, Joe! Such a fantastic player who has had tremendous success! Plus, Joe is just a kind and generous person.

The finalists for this position were Joe Brown, Mark Grisez, Jon Kaplan, Dominic Favia, and Michael Harper. Congrats to Joe!
