Does anyone know what model/make of cornet Freddie Hubbard used on Herbie Hancock's 'Empyrean Isles'?

Wow - I never realized Freddie played cornet on a few of his Blue Note sessions !?!....was checking out a few just now, including Andrew Hill's "Pax" LP, and thinking that Freddie's tone sounds kind of thinner / smaller than usual, in addition to almost a different approach - after looking it up, no wonder - he's not playing a trumpet ! He also plays cornet on Herbie's "Empyrean Isles" LP as well (on which he's also the only horn)....I have heard Cantaloupe Island so many times, but never thought or realized that it's him playing cornet and not trumpet....now listening to it again, I *think* I can tell ....?....I wonder what was going through his mind to play cornet on some of these sessions instead of trumpet?

Also - the link at the top is a photo of him playing cornet for a Blue Note session w/ Bobby Hutchison & Sam Rivers - def. not a Conn 28A though - wonder what it is?

Beep bop -

I didn't know that either. Listening to it again right now... what a great sound! Thanks for sharing this info.
