What tone quality! The Brian McDonald rendition linked in the YouTube comments is also great, he makes it more high note-oriented.

I don't have the album nearby but I would be surprised if it was someone else other than Tommy Newsom. He knew exactly how to write for the band and Doc.

I played 4th on this arrangement with the Rochester Metro Jazz Orchestra as a set opener at the Rochester jazz festival earlier this week. Love it!
