I'm starting this thread for anyone that has questions on my new line of mouthpieces. They are called the CR series and that stands for comfort rim.
Take a look when you have time.

Hey everyone. I have a comparison chart up on my site now.

http://patrickmouthpieces.com/comparison-chart/

As always, these charts are fairly subjective because of the different ways and places to take measurements on mouthpieces.
It is much better to contact me directly so that I can help "fit" you for a mouthpiece than to do it strictly with "the numbers game."

Similar numbers can "feel" very different based on rim contour, shape going into cup, etc.
I'm very happy to help if you have questions. Feel free to email me directly as that's even quicker than a pm.

Mr. Patrick,
Can you please add GR Mouthpieces to your comparison chart? We are just a small company and can use all the promo we can get!

I have found that many people do not know that I make two piece models as well as the conventional one piece.
I have tops, backbores, and one piecers available in all sizes.
Thanks to all who have ordered from me and who continue to make it possible to not only stay in business, but also to expand the product line of what is offered to all of us trumpet players!

Hi everyone. My entire mouthpiece line, with the exception of the 2 piece models will be available at ITG through Dillon music.
Dillon music is the only store that stocks my mouthpieces in the USA, so if you're interested in trying them out first hand, check out the Dillon booth!

Here's what will be there.
105 models all together.

Standard classical models
Commercial models
F/T models (Hybrid trumpet/flugel mouthpieces)
flugel models
signature models
CR models (Comfort rim)
Vintage models (my take on Jet-tones from the 60's through early 80's era)

For more info on individual models, please check out my website.

Thanks everyone!

PostPosted: Fri Jan 10, 2014 7:20 am    Post subject: PATRICK Mouthpieces rate increase Reply with quote

Hi everyone. I have a rate increase that is coming in February.
My manufacturing prices and shipping/handling prices are all going up and I can only absorb so much before I have to pass some of these increases along to the consumer.

Anything that is bought this month will be at the current rates. I'm pretty fully stocked right now, but if I run out of anything and it's delivered after this month, but paid for in January, it'll be at the current rate as well.

The one piece models will all go up $6.
Back-bores will go up $5.
Tops will go up $5 as well.

Thanks to all who have supported me so much in this business venture and I wish you ALL a very happy New Year!

If you're in the South Carolina area, try and come to the South Carolina Festival this weekend. Here's the link to their site. I'll be doing two master classes on Saturday, have my whole line of mouthpieces with me, and be playing a concert that evening with the Electric City Big Band.

I'll have all of my CR line of mouthpieces available to try at the DILLON music table at ITG. Come check them out!

These are my version of a comfortable rim that is still fairly conventional, but more cushion than most standard rim types on the market.
People that have not been able to play my models that have flatter or fatter rims, have liked this rim profile because it splits the difference of a very commercial rim, and a more standard shape rim.

PATRICK Mouthpieces will now be available at Thompson Music as well as through me directly.

http://www.thompsonmusic.com

They won't have product up on their website for a bit, but give Mike a call and tell him what you're looking for.

Also, check out their wide selection of horns. They're a GREAT resource for all of us brass players!

I'm very happy to say that I will finally be able to be at my first ever ITG conference this year. I'll have a table in the main room with all of my lines of mouthpieces.

Thompson music will also have my product present at their table. Please stop by, introduce yourself and try the pieces out. I will be present at the table all day every day. Thanks!

Glad to hear you'll be getting the added exposure. I own 4 or 5 of your pieces, and have played a few more. I have to say - there's not a bad one in the bunch. Most efficient pieces I've ever used with excellent pitch center. When I give it gas, my sound just explodes while using your Commercial line of MPs. Very comfortable to boot. I'm tempted to send off my 84M to have it cut for sleeves for playing on my Schilke B5, but I don't want to mess up the mojo. Decisions decisions....

One more thing - the level of customer service you provide is second to none. Can you tell I'm a fan of your work?

I've learned the hard way to never mess with a piece that I love… The computer CNC is consistent, but you still have buffing (even though we barely buff the rims) and plating that can affect the way a mouthpiece feels. For those that are uber sensitive, this can be an issue.
My trumpet player advice (not my ownership in the company) would be to keep that one as is, and order another cut for sleeves. Since you own so many, I won't up charge you for cutting it for sleeves. It'll just be stock price.
Thanks for the comment on customer service. I work really hard at that, but right now, we've been behind and a bunch of people have been waiting patiently for their mouthpieces…. Should be VERY soon if you're one that has been waiting.

Hi everyone. My line of PATRICK CR models will be available at Baltimore Brass Companies table for ITG next week. Go speak to Garrett and let him know what you currently play on and he'll be able to help you try a few mouthpieces. Thanks and drop me a line if you have any questions on any particular models.
