|
|
Hi All,
I Recently bought a brand new leadpipe for my 1968 Bach Mercedes due rampant red rot. The horn had a #7 leadpipe so I went to Mouthpiece Express and ordered a LT180S77 leadpipe. It arrived here today and is too small for the tuning slide by just a fraction of a millimeter. Could this be due to the silver plating? Was the leadpipe design changed? I have replaced many parts on this horn with new Bach Strad parts and everything was a perfect fit until this leadpipe.
Thanks,
Jacques |

Pretty sure you ordered a lightweight pipe for a normal weight horn |

Yep. That LT designates it as lightweight. Lightweight pipes don't fit on standard weight horns. Return it and get a normal weight pipe. That'll fix the problem. _________________ Bach/Kanstul Frankenhorn
