Just a quick introduction to my new community here on TH. I'm a singer / guitarist / songwriter / adult-onset trumpeter who plays primarily orchestral rock in my own band Tidelands www.tidelandsmusic.com. I started my brass adventures on a mid '70's Benge Flugelhorn, which I still consider my primary instrument. I have a strange old Altrichter rotary cornet that was doing me no favors so last year purchased a used Lawler Model T, and I'm head over heels for it. I'm a student in the classical method although my true love is crafting melodies and improvisation in the context of my own songs. Hello to all of you out there, finding your sounds in a million different ways.

Found the band on FB.
Listened to a bit of "Marigolds" live at Cafe du Nord and enjoyed your flugel work. Then noticed it was from 2011
Listening to "The New Black" now. Good stuff!
Tell us what to listen to in the web site audio files that also includes your trumpet/flugel writing/playing! |

Welcome - also new here! Been playing since the age of nine but haven't played in a year or so - looking to get back into it. |
