So after three tries, finally bought a Conn 77 B trumpet that is playable from the start. I was wondering what this trumpet sounded like.

Haven't had the chance to play it much. Do like it and was worth the wait. Did have the not so bright idea of switching out the 3rd slides from the two Conn 77 B trumpets. They are not interchangeable. So now I need to have the third slide pulled. Was going to the shop anyway to free the bottom cap and add corks.

Had the trumpet tuned up by the local tech. So now I am trying out mouthpieces. Have a Yamaha 14 B mouthpiece and waiting on the arrival of a 14 E mouthpiece.

Does play well, just need the right mouthpiece for it.

Once I get used to it, will have a 1st slide thumb saddle added.

Curry BC mouthpiece works well on my Conns in that bore size. The bore of the mouthpiece is a little more open. Just a nice balance and sound.
