Last night at the beginning of orchestra rehearsal my chops felt like crap. I thought, how am I going to get thru this rehearsal. So, I just started to concentrate on keeping the tongue in a forward position and tongue thru the teeth. That was it! The rest of the rehearsal went great. No endurance problems, great intonation, great articulation, nice round cutting sound with lots of overtones. Even the violins said I sounded good. And to top it all off, the new trombone player wants me to do an Easter gig with him. Can't wait to practice tonight and work on TCE.
