I'm a violinist from California. Other than Stravinsky's Soldier's Tale, I'm looking for chamber music appropriate for trumpet (optionally including other instruments) and strings. Regards, Daniel |

Fast Lane by Martin Rokeach for trumpet and violin. Modern, but a nice piece. |

Le Bouf souer toit
Le revue de cuisine
There are also oodles of baroque works for trumpet and strings which could be performed as chamber works. _________________ so many horns, so few good notes... |

Walton "Facade" with narrator.
Copland "Quiet City" might also fit your query.
Hovhannes "Prayer of St. Gregory"
Persichetti "Hollow Men".
Handel "Suite in D"
Most of the Baroque trumpet works are great with small string ensemble and harpsichord.
These off the top of my head from things I've done. |
