I Bought a Monette tradition plus mpc, second hand with a very good price, for research. I will be able to sell it for the same price I payed.
I will try it and let you know. It will arrive next week. |

I got the Monette tradition plus.
It has and small indication of the previous insert mm by the old owner. I asked him and he uses a Shagerl Claris trumpet.
The Monette insert 2 mm less in the Yamaha than in the Shagerl.
I don't know how the Shagerl receiver compares to the Bach receiver.
I can feel the mpc, in my trumpet, tune different some notes than the Yamaha mpc and is more open in the high register.
I can feel how the thoat is more open than the Yamaha one.
It goes into the receiver 24 mm.
Does the mpc design compensate for the GAP created ? totally or in part ?
It is designed for a bach receiver ? or is a compromise between bach and yamaha or others ?
Would work better with same design but going into the receiver more, like a yamaha mpc ?
I don't know.
I will try it to check how in plays an intonation and if I like it how it is, for my trumpet. |

The line from the Schagerl is meaningless unless you know the distance from that line to the Schagerl venturi.

As I have said before, when trying completely new mouthpieces, just evaluate the mouthpiece as a whole. There are too many variables to hyperfocus on gap. Micro-adjustments like Gap are something you can worry about when you have been playing the piece as your main mouthpiece for 1 month+. |

Some people here are doing an investigation. And we need time and go step by step.
If someone does not like it or is not interested in it , I think reading this thread is not mandatory in the legal system of any country |

I have access to a software to mimic and change mouthpiece designs, and to 3d printing machines, so in the future I can do more tests, like printing a mpc with similar characteristics to any other, but that goes into the Yamaha receiver like a Yamaha mpc does.
And see what happens, "with my own eyes ". |

Oh, I apologize. It was confusing because your "investigation" still has too many variables. I was trying to help you narrow your focus so you can come away with worthwhile and meaningful results. I am not sure what your goal is at this point.
But, as they say, "you do you!" Enjoy! |
