Thinking of adding a flugel to the collection and a Getzen 3895 Custom came up on the radar, it's used and for slightly less money than a new Yamaha 631G. I'm interested to hear about experiences with this horn and even better if one can compare it to the Yamaha. _________________ Bach Stradivarius 180S37

The 3895 is a very nice horn. Lovely, mellow sound and quite agile. Valves are great, of course, and trigger works well. Intonation was fine on my Getzen and Stork mouthpieces. It has been too long since I've played any of the Yamaha flugelhorns to offer a useful comparison. |
