Is there a way to expand the list of available emoticons/emojis to include the musical symbols, notations, and instruments? There's tons of them out there now, so it would be cool to add them to this forum.
Just an idea... _________________ Richard H

I don’t use the built in emojis much anymore. While it is more difficult and time consuming you can always cut and paste from another source as I did above. |

Like littlerusty points out, you can use emoji symbols in plain text just like you in say, WhatsApp. Just add them in using your mobile device keyboard’s emoji function. You don’t need the built-in emojis for that, and when using a desktop pc, you can always use a search engine to find the symbol and then copy-paste it into the text.🙌
Only downside is that they may look slightly different depending on the device used to view them, but that shouldn’t be a problem for the commonly accepted music symbols. _________________ 1975 Olds Recording trumpet

Since I only view TH on a desktop, sounds like the cut and paste route is the option to take.
Thanks guys! 🎺 🎼 🎶 _________________ Richard H

The ones I used in my reply above were too small when I first pasted them. I used the forum’s font size to make them bigger.
You can see how by quoting my reply and looking at the quoted text. |

Your chances of getting new emoji are equally proportional to our getting a functional search machine. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird

Yeah, I noticed this still has the 80s bulletin board look and functionality... _________________ Richard H

Well, since not too many others have used a BB since then, it still feels like the 80s! _________________ Richard H
