So, an Older Bach New York "3" as opposed to a 3C. ?
Anyone know, did they make the 3C in the "New York" era ?
This is the older font, early.
What is it like ?
Anyone ?

The Bach 3C mouthpiece was introduced as a "New" model in September 1925, at the same time as the "New" Bach Stradivarius trumpet was introduced.

Hi,
I bought a 1956 Martin Imperial flugelhorn. It came with a Mount Vernon Bach 3 cornet mouthpiece. For some reason Martin designed the instrument to use a cornet mouthpiece.
It was wider than the modern 3C and comparatively deeper as well. tI mean it was really deep as in hear an echo deep. I didn't like it much or the horn for that matter and moved it along. The rim was quite comfortable but I could not adjust to the diameter. |
