If interested: A step-by-step process to playing stylistically accurately as a lead trumpet player.

Guide on Developing Lead Trumpet Style
The lead trumpet's role is to be the leader of the band and to create a rhythmic and stylistic connection with the drummer. The lead trumpet’s ability to lock in with the rhythm section is of utmost importance because the rest of the horn section will look to the lead trumpet to set the stylistic standard. It falls on the lead trumpet player's shoulders to interpret a chart correctly and consistently so that a band can follow its lead. The following guide aims to provide a study framework for a lead trumpet player interested in playing big band music with stylistic accuracy. The eleven stylistic elements that any lead player must account for are in order of importance: time, tone color, phrasing, articulations, dynamics, vibrato, shakes, glissandos, falls, bends, and scoops.

It is interesting to me that in the "11 most important elements" list you compiled... not a single mention of Volume/Power, Endurance, and Range... I've met many modern trumpeters who have solid command of your "11 Important Elements"... yet their deficiencies in Volume/Power, Endurance, or Range makes them utterly unable to perform much of the Modern Lead Trumpet repertoire, especially that which was written from the Mid 1960's onwards.

Any lead trumpet methodology which does not place prime importance on Volume/Power, Endurance, and (ever increasing) High Range is, at best, attempting to deceive the audience.

Many modern performers lack the exact musicality you extoll, but have such knack for Volume, Endurance, and Range that their otherwise unmusicality is ignored.

No deception here. Without power and range you can’t cover most of the lead trumpet rep. out there… this is intended to help those who’ve got that but are missing the musical elements.
