I purchased a large bore vintage Yamaha Silver C trumpet 20 years ago. Model YTR 6450 serial # 001042. Plays beautifully with my Bach 1C mouthpiece. Excellent condition overall. Can't find any info on this particular model and want to know what it may be worth. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Dave |

I found it on craigslist. I had no use for it at the time, but after I retired from my day job, I joined an amateur orchestra, so I actually use it now. It cost me $800 about ten years ago. _________________ '75 Bach Strad 180ML/37

I bought a YTR 6450S about fifteen years ago. It plays quite nicely with good sound and intonation. The serial # is 001080. I played and compared it to a Bach C 229. I would say that the Bach had a much bigger core sound The Yamaha plays very politely. I use it for quintet work. I like it because of its clean sound. |
