As I've been learning more about cornets and comparing several different ones, I came across a Benge 7C cornet mp. I can't seem to find any specs for it online, but visually it "looks" similar to a Bach 7C, but it feels like it might have a slightly deeper and possibly wider cup (I haven't measured it with a caliper yet).
I did find a copy of a Benge trumpet catalog page, but all it says there is: "Cup size indicated by model numbers. Smaller numbers indicate larger cup sizes. Cup depth indicated by model letters. Listed alphabetically, deep to shallow." Beyond that though, no specs or anything else, so no way to really compare mps that I can find.
The mp plays fairly well (I still like my Bach 5C better), so just curious if anyone has more detailed specs (or knows where to find them) to compare it to some of the other cornet mps. _________________ Richard H

No details, but I also have one. It 'plays' bigger than the Bach I have. Good mouthpiece for me. |

Printed spec are mostly useless anyway as they are not measured in any consistent way.
The only useful thing would be if was scanned into something like the Mouthpiece Comparator in which you can compare the cutaways of various sizes.
Benge Mouthpieces were all copies of Bach sizes. Doesn't match your Bach of the same size? Well, that's because prior to CNC machining, there wasn't a consistent Bach size, anyway. _________________ LA Benge 3X Bb Trumpet

Well, if that comparison holds to be similar for the 7C, then like I thought, that would mean the Benge does have a slightly deeper/wider cup. _________________ Richard H
