Hi Folks,

Has anyone attended the Brooklyn College Conservatory? Care to share your experiences, positive or negative?

I auditioned last year and got in, seems like a good program there, I am once again considering attending in Fall '04. Depends on my schedule and finances.

I taught there a few years ago. It is a good school.

The trumpet teacher's bio is rather impressive:
Douglas Hedwig, Professor, Trumpet, wind/brass coordinator, wind ensemble director. B.M., Manhattan School of Music; M.M.,D.M.A., the Juilliard School. Former associate member Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Founding member Metropolitan Brass Quartet. Recordings on Deutsche Grammophon, RCA, Sony Masterworks, Nonesuch, Columbia, and other labels. Published articles on 19th-century brass music.

And being in New York comes with some great opportunities. Where else are you considering?
