Hi there,

I seem to remember my Phil Smith's "Orchestral Excerpts For Trumpet" coming with a music book that had the parts to the excerpts he plays (marvelously well) on the CD.

Am I losing my marbles? I've searched through all my stuff and all I can find is the CD and CD case -no music.

Somebody please let me know if music comes with this CD when you buy it (and then I'll just buy another copy).

Thanks,

John Mohan

There was no music book attached when I bought my copy, just the CD. I got mine at a now out of business classical record store here in the Detroit area. Maybe if you got yours online, the book came with it. Don't know, just a guess.

John

Could you be thinking of "Concert Studies" 16 New Studies from Grade 3 through 6 (Curnow Music), this had a CD with Phil Smith playing the unaccompanied studies?

I've never heard about a book with the "Orchestral Excerpts" CD.

There is a book and CD by Phil... Oh crap I can't remember his last name. I think that's a sin. But as far as I know the Phil Smith CD does not come with a book, hence the commentary on the CD. I know you can get the cd at

http://www.alldirect.com/music/mItem.asp?mitemNo=099402144924&cartID=882219275403040812

for $12.79

John,

The CD does not come with a book with music...

However, you may be thinking of the Phil Norris's Top 50 Excerpts book. It has all of the excerpts Phil Smith plays on the CD and more...the CD is a great companion to the book (and vice versa).
