I was surprised to find that nowhere online has Yamaha made a list of its performing artists like Bach has on its site. So, I thought we could make the list on here. I'll try to start us off:
Mark Gould
Jens Lindemann
James Thompson
David Hickman
Edward Carrol
Ron Romm
Fred Mills
Ryan Anthony
Robert Sullivan
John Wallace
Allen Vizzutti
Rod Franks
Gabriel Cassone
Eric Aubier
Antoine Cure
Tim Morrison
Randy Brecker
Nicholas Payton
Mike Vax
Bobby Shew

I know there are more so if you know of any, please let me know.

PS Are the CSO trumpet players OFFICIALLY Yamaha Performing Artists?

I still play Yamaha some.......mainly E/E-flat, F/G, piccolo, and cornet. However, I am NOW playing the new Doc Severinsen "Destino" B-flat and C trumpets. (Check out docseverinsen.com)

Before I played them I expected super big bore, ultra bright "Doc" horns. But, wow. They are extremely versatile and are generally much darker than the Bach or Yamaha horns. I like them because they can take the fortissimos like a "heavy" horn (Monette, Taylor, etc.) but still possess an amazingly centered and ringing sound when playing playing ppp. Intonation is about as good as it gets anywhere, too.

Nothing against any other brands, guys. I just wanted to let you know that I no longer play Yamaha exclusively.

Dave Hickman

PS: Yes, I have tried the new Yamaha prototypes....great horns, BUT.....

Thank you for the update, Mr. Hickman. I think I speak for everyone when I say that you'll sound great no matter what you're playing on!

Rex Richardson is another to add to this list

Great player, superb clinician (he did a workshop for me last year - left the students incredibly inspired) and all round nice guy.
